This is an unmarked dive spot between Sweet Dreams and Red Slave. Formerly there was a yellow hut (hence the name), now you can only see a small spot of stones and salt lakes. With strong waves you better dive somewhere else as there is a lot of sand that might whirl. You can easily enter the water from the beach.
The shallow plateau consists of hard bottom covered with coral at the side. After a few feet you will find a spot of sand with soft corals and anemones. Here you can snorkel well. You will see fish of many different species, crabs and sea urchins.
The drop off is at 26 feet to 49 feet with many dense forests of soft coral where you can spot many turtles. The best depth for diving is between 20 and 49 feet.
Do you want to visit Yellow Hut? In Bonaire Dive Guide you can find more information and detailed directions. Convenient, as many dive sites on the South coast are off road and hard to find. The guide is also practical as a reference and safe: leaving your mobile phone in the car during a dive is not wise.
