This dive site is located in the remote area of Pekelmeer in the South. At the end of the morning you often see dolphins here. You can easily enter the water through the sandy beach. At high waves you better dive somewhere else, there will be little visibility due to the swirled up sand.
On the shallow plateau you will find lots of soft coral. The drop off is at 29 feet, it drops down steeply. The density of coral is not high, but there are lots of sponges and a lot of very healthy soft coral. This reef runs to 410 feet.
At 164 feet a second drop off starts, which is only accessible to trained technical divers. The best depth is between 33 and 82 feet. Here you will find most activity of fish and you will have a great chance of large fish. Be aware of the flow. It can suddenly change direction or increase in strength.
Do you want to visit Vista Blue? In Bonaire Dive Guide you can find more information and detailed directions. Convenient, as many dive sites on the South coast are off road and hard to find. The guide is also practical as a reference and safe: leaving your mobile phone in the car during a dive is not wise.
