This is one of the dive sites along the double reef in southern Bonaire. The small beach has no shade. You can go into the water through a sandy channel between the corals.
The reef only starts at 29 feet, at this shallow plateau you can do some excellent snorkeling up to 39 feet, where a ‘lake’ of sand starts between the two reefs. The second reef starts at 29 feet and descends to 85 feet. Here you will find a wide variety of sponges and beautiful fish, big and small. The first reef has more soft coral than the second reef, and different types of hard coral.
Do you want to visit The Lake? In Bonaire Dive Guide you can find more information and detailed directions. Convenient, as many dive sites on the South coast are off road and hard to find. The guide is also practical as a reference and safe: leaving your mobile phone in the car during a dive is not wise
