This place truly is ‘something special.’ It’s a wonderful place to make night dives and great for photographing, as it is known for the numerous frogfish you find here.
The beach is small and there are a lot of rocks, but it is near the boulevard and easily accessible. The shallow plateau consists of dead coral and car tires which were once buoys. You can snorkel right here, but watch out as boats may sail here.
You will find most frogfish between 20 and 39 feet. The reef starts at 29 feet and runs down to 49 up to 98 feet. At the sand plateau below you will find many eels and stingrays.
Do you want to visit Something Special? In Bonaire Dive Guide you can find more information and detailed directions. Convenient, as many dive sites on the North coast are off road and hard to find. The guide is also practical as a reference and safe: leaving your mobile phone in the car during a dive is not wise.
