On this particular beach of rocks and coral you can enjoy the shade of a few trees and flamingos in the adjacent lake. There is a strong current at this spot, but unlike other places you can almost always dive here. Around 32 feet you will find a big drop-off, where the current is stronger.
The reef is located between 55 and 100 feet and is home to beautiful corals and the most unusual fish. Because of the current you will use a lot of air and the way back is long, so save enough oxygen and energy!
Do you want to visit Playa Funchi? In Bonaire Dive Guide you can find more information and detailed directions. Convenient, as many dive sites on the north coast are off road and hard to find. The guide is also practical as a reference and safe: leaving your mobile phone in the car during a dive is not wise.
