This dive site has a small beach consisting of rocks and a small part of sand. It is located directly along the road so you cannot sit here very well. There are few parking spots. This is a dive site with a double reef.
The second and deepest reef is only for divers with experience in deep diving. Novice divers can make a wonderful dive at the shallow plateau and the first reef. The part where you go into the water consists of sharp rocks and coral, so be careful.
The shallow plateau consists of fine sand, visibility in troubled water quickly becomes bad. After 23 feet the view is a lot better. The reef gradually runs down from 39 to 99 feet and has a lot of beautiful coral formations. There are lots of fish and some are well camouflaged so pay attention! The second reef starts at 66 feet, with a roof at 89 feet. Here you will find a lot of big fish. The reef ends at 141 feet.
Do you want to visit Larry’s Lair? In Bonaire Dive Guide you can find more information and detailed directions. Convenient, as many dive sites on the South coast are off road and hard to find. The guide is also practical as a reference and safe: leaving your mobile phone in the car during a dive is not wise.
