This is a fantastic wall dive site, one of few on Bonaire. At this dive site you are advised to dive from a boat. Shore diving is possible, but only with a giant stride. You can make the leap from a 3 feet high ledge at the bottom of the cliff. You can only get out of the water again at Karpata, another dive site upstream (50 minutes swimming). The reef descends 30 feet and from 88 feet it descends vertically as to 115 feet. At 138 feet a second wall descends up to 60 meters deep, suitable only for technical divers. Here you see a lot of shallow caves, where sleeping nurse sharks can be seen. Along the edge is much marine life.
Do you want to visit La Dania’s Leap? In Bonaire Dive Guide you can find more information and detailed directions. Convenient, as many dive sites on the north coast are off road and hard to find. The guide is also practical as a reference and safe: leaving your mobile phone in the car during a dive is not wise.
