This is the most northern dive site outside the WSNP. Here lies the Karpata Ecological Centre. There is no beach, you can go into the water on the concrete platform but be careful, the waves can be high here!
But if you are taken by a retreating wave, it leads you to a shallow plateau where you may encounter turtles and parrotfish. Beyond the buoy you will find two old anchors, just over the drop off at 36 and 56 feet. The reef here is hilly and most beautiful up to 80 feet. To the east, you will find the research area of Stinapa with square lines. Do not disturb the area.
Do you want to visit Karpata? In Bonaire Dive Guide you can find more information and detailed directions. Convenient, as many dive sites on the North coast are off road and hard to find. The guide is also practical as a reference and safe: leaving your mobile phone in the car during a dive is not wise.
