At this dive site you will find two piers, where you can follow several diving routes, right and left. It is a beach at a large resort with restaurants and other facilities, so you can spend a whole day here and go both sides.
You can also enter the water from the beach, where you can snorkel perfectly. You will not see much coral in the shallow area but you will see many different types of fish and squid. The reefs depth is from 16 to 98 feet, the drop off is at 36 feet. You’ll find soft corals and sea horses and along the reef wall you will encounter many young fish and large moray eels.
At 75 feet from the side you’ll find the wreck of a small sailboat, where you can see shrimp, snails and some larger fish.
Do you want to visit Kalabas Reef? In Bonaire Dive Guide you can find more information and detailed directions. Convenient, as many dive spots on the North coast are off road and hard to find. The guide is also practical as a reference and safe: leaving your mobile phone in the car during a dive is not wise.
