This spot on the East coast of Klein Bonaire lies on the windward side and immediately slopes down steeply. This is a good place for novice divers because of the slight current. Snorkelers will not find a lot here, because the reef ends too steep, straight from the side.
The buoy is 82 feet deep, so preferably swim to the side and descend to the reef there. The drop off starts at 10 feet and then quickly slopes down to 82 feet. At the upper reef you will find lots of soft coral. Just below the drop off are plenty of colored and large fish. Underneath the reef is plenty of imbricated growing plate coral and bushy black coral.
You will find the most beautiful part of the reef at your left (from the side), the reef is very healthy. The current is strong here, so be careful! The area between ‘Just a Nice Dive’ and ‘Ebo ‘s Reef’ is a beautiful place to photograph. Especially in the shallow water and around the drop off you will find lots of turtles.
Do you want to visit Just a Nice Dive? In Bonaire Dive Guide you can find more information and detailed directions. Convenient, as many dive sites on the North coast are off road and hard to find. The guide is also practical as a reference and safe: leaving your mobile phone in the car or boat during a dive is not wise.
