At this spot lies a wreck of a flatboat, which is accessible only for technical divers who have experience with decompression stops. The shore of this dive site is private, so you can only get here from dive site Cliff.
The wreck sank in 1972 and lies between two vessel anchorages. If there is an anchored ship, it is strictly forbidden to dive here. The wreck itself is best found when you look for an anchor chain between the two buoys at 26 feet. If you follow this chain you will find the wreck at 115 feet, deepest at 148 feet.
The ship is not covered with algae, but Sergeant Majors love to lay their eggs here, which are fiercely defended. The ship has a small hole in the hold, but the opening is small and swimming inside is strongly discouraged.
Do you want to visit technical diving site Coopers Barge? In Bonaire Dive Guide you can find more information and detailed directions. Convenient, as many dive sites on the North coast are off road and hard to find. The guide is also practical as a reference and safe: leaving your mobile phone in the car during a dive is not wise.
