This is a perfect location for a night dive through the simple way to get in and out of the water. The spot is located between Bari Reef and La Machaca, and that’s convenient as well because all three are accessible in one dive. The coral at this spot is not the best of Bonaire, but you will find strikingly amounts of fish. At night dives you will always be accompanied by a number of large tarpon, but also during the day they like to swim with you, just as one or two great barracudas.
At the shallow plateau, which is often used for training, you will regularly find some squids, who come near you if you do not move too much. At 66 feet you will find a huge elephant ear sponge. At this dive site you can find a restaurant, toilets, showers and a diving school. There is no beach, you dive from the jetty.
Do you want to visit Buddy’s Reef? In Bonaire Dive Guide you can find more information and detailed directions. Convenient, as many dive sites on the North coast are off road and hard to find. The guide is also practical as a reference and safe: leaving your mobile phone in the car during a dive is not wise.
