This particular dive site is only accessible by boat, it is at the Santa Barbara Crowns district. It is an active reef with lots of living creatures, lots of cleaning stations and lovely plate corals.
Usually plate corals remain much deeper, they are very vulnerable to active waves. But they grow very close together here and that constitutes the stacks. You can find them at 51 feet, at 69 feet almost the entire reef is composed of plate corals; wonderful and great to take pictures.
The nicest part is at 79 feet. The underwater life is very rich here and many fish are brushed in a lot of cleaning stations. Great to watch!
Do you want to visit Barcadera? In Bonaire Dive Guide you can find more information and detailed directions. Convenient, as many dive sites on the North coast are off road and hard to find. The guide is also practical as a reference and safe: leaving your mobile phone in the car during a dive is not wise.
