Diving the South Coast of Bonaire

Experience the strong currents and double reefs

Feel Bonaire Favourites

The South coast of Bonaire; only for expert divers

The dive spots on our South Coast are all located south of the airport. Actually, you can say that the further you go south, the stronger the current is. At these dive sites you will often find beaches, large or small, some sandy and some with coral. At these dive sites you will find lots of beautiful corals and sometimes there are even double coral reefs. The further you go south, the stronger the flow is, so pay attention. The double reefs are only accessible for experienced technical divers who have experience with decompression.

Level of experience

The further you go south, the stronger the current gets. In the southernmost point you have the strongest current from the island.  This fact makes the South coast dive spots only for the expert divers. There are plenty of beginner spots that can be found on the West Coast of Bonaire.
