Diving the East Coast of Bonaire

Discover the wild side of our island

The East coast; the wild side of Bonaire

The dive sites on our East Coast are of a completely different category than the rest of our island. This really is the ‘wild side’ of our island. Many places are not marked, the current is strong and the waves are high and that makes a shore dive very difficult. Shore diving here is therefore only suitable for experienced divers accompanied by a guide. Do you not have experience in diving and do you not want to miss all the beauty? Then go diving from a boat. The reef here is still almost untouched, with large coral formations and especially very large fish such as sharks and rays.

Level of experience

Due to the rocky coast, the strong currents and big waves along the East coast of Bonaire, all dive spots are best suitable for both advanced and expert divers. There are plenty of beginner spots that can be found on the West Coast.
