This dive site is on the south coast of Klein Bonaire. There is no beach and you can not easily reach the shore by the high bank with loose rocks. You can not snorkel here, the currents are strong and may cause high waves. You can however go for a fantastic night dive, underwater life at night is totally different from daytime.
The buoy is located at the dense roof at 20 feet. The reef is in a V- shape and has nice vegetated walls. The drop off starts at 39 feet, with many hard corals and sponges and a variety of tropical fish. Especially on the walls you will find a lot of soft coral and sponges, they will make beautiful pictures. The reef runs down steeply to 151 feet.
When you dive deeper than 59 feet, you will find many large and very flat shaped brain corals. Deeper than 82 feet you will find black coral. Do you dive at night? Then you’ll find lots of crabs, lobsters and shrimps that you barely see at daylight.
Do you want to visit Hands Off? In Bonaire Dive Guide you can find more information and detailed directions. Convenient, as many dive sites on the north coast are off road and hard to find. The guide is also practical as a reference and safe: leaving your mobile phone in the car during a dive is not wise.
