This dive site is located on the southwest coast of Klein Bonaire. Here you will find a reef with a particular profile; it drops significantly into the depth and then goes flat again. Here you can snorkel and dive excellently on the shallow plateau.
Right at the side you find coral, and the plateau itself contains several colonies of hard corals interspersed with soft corals, such as sea plumes and black gorgons. You’ll find lots of fish and turtles, particularly at the drop off at 33 feet depth.
The reef drops with 40 degrees to 66 feet, on the protruding pieces of large coral you will often find shrimp brushing bars. Most fish can be found at the top of the reef to a depth of 49 feet. The lower part of the reef mainly contains a lot of sponges.
Do you want to visit Munk’s Haven? In Bonaire Dive Guide you can find more information and detailed directions. Convenient, as many dive sites on the north coast are off road and hard to find. The guide is also practical as a reference and safe: leaving your mobile phone in the car during a dive is not wise.
