This is the favorite site of many divers. The staircase has 73 steps, but only up with all your gear, they feel like “1000 steps”. This popular beach has restrooms and a parking lot, on Sundays it’s very crowded.
The beach is rocky, going into the water is easy. This spot offers fantastic snorkeling, the water is remarkably clear and you will see a lot of fish. From 32 feet the reef runs down steeply to 131 feet. At 82 feet you will find cactus coral, at 131 feet , most of the time you can find turtles, sharks and dolphins.
Do you want to visit 1000 steps Bonaire? In Bonaire Dive Guide you can find more information and detailed directions. Convenient, as many dive sites on the north coast are off road and hard to find. The guide is also practical as a reference and safe: leaving your mobile phone in the car during a dive is not wise.
